Katawa – ZANU (PF) supporters in Zvimba North Constituency have pledged at least 40 000 votes for ZANU PF presidential candidate Emmerson Mnangagwa in the 2023 harmonised general elections.
This was revealed by Zvimba North Constituency legislator, Hon Marian Chombo during a Zvimba North Constituency ZANU (PF) star rally held at Ayshire Sports Club in Katawa.
“As Zvimba North, we are promising President Mnangagwa over 40 000 votes as we head for victory on 23 August 2023 as we show our gratitude to the good works being shown by his astute leadership,” she said.
Addressing thousands of ZANU (PF) supporters in Katawa, Hon Chombo paid tribute to the party’s cell chairpersons for being its vanguard and machinery.
“We really appreciate the sterling work which as the party’s cell structure leaders you are doing in advancing the message of ZANU (PF) in communities. Our President notes the great work you are doing in ensuring the party stays on top of the game,” she said.
Senator Joseph Chirongoma, who was the guest of honor at the event urged party supporters to campaign and vote in a peaceful environment .
“Let us continue to maintain the peace we have in the country as we go for the elections and heed the President’s call for peaceful elections,” he said.
Hon Chirongoma said President Mnangagwa has transformed the lives of many Zimbabweans through various developmental programs across the country.
Luke Rutter, ZANU (PF) local authority candidate for Zvimba Rural District Council’s Ward 31 told this publication that he is spearheading various community empowerment projects as encouraged by President Mnangagwa.
“Victory is certain as the people are seeing all the works being done by ZANU (PF) and we have many programs to empower communities that are being offered by our President to our people,” he said.
