The Zimbabwe Theatre Academy will be holding its graduation ceremony for students who underwent a 4-month part-time long intensive programme.
The students namely Karen Muradzikwa, Annie Bridget Paradza, David Kanduna, and Lorraine Munatswa were taken through script writing, acting, and directing with all rounder content creation skills.
Muradzikwa who is among the graduates has been one of the outstanding actors at Patsime Trust where she has featured in many plays including the Flip Side and Maimbodeyi .
She is ecstatic ahead of the graduation ceremony slated for Thursday evening at Reps Theatre.
“So today marks the end of the awesome journey at the Theatre Academy where we got mentored by Zaza Muchemwa, Lloyd Nyikadzino, and Teddy Mangawa.
“The part-time programme is ideal for industry professionals who might not have much time to commit to school but want to enhance or refresh their skills,” Muradzikwa said.
The graduates are going to showcase their solo plays while those in the full-time class are supposed to present their end-of-block melodrama pieces.
Initially, the group had 12 students but some were not yet graduated and are going to be enrolled for the next class in August.
