An award winning gospel Zimbabwean male artist Tatenda Mahachi has released a brand new song featuring the legend Dr Oliver ‘Tuku’ Mtukudzi titled “Ndisiye” meaning leave me alone.
The theme of the song is a direct command to the devil to leave people alone as it comes to destroy, steal and kill. Therefore the song is a declaration.
The song features Oliver Mtukudzi whom he said when he wrote the song he felt it was empty and needed another voice that’s when he decided to partner with the legend.
“I felt I needed another voice in my song. That’s when I decided to approach Dr. Oliver Mtukudzi who was impressed by my song and agreed to work with me. We complimented each other in terms of writing the song. Tuku wrote his part and I also did the same and this was the great spice of our collaboration,”Mahachi said.
In a bid to make the song Ndisiye known both locally and internationally, the artists have lined up various shows and tours. The young gospel artist has performed alongside Mega Praise, a Zimbabwean “super group” comprising artists from various church denominations and musical backgrounds.
