A mentally-challenged woman in Karoi who was a street vagrant has been given new hope in life by a popular prophet.

The Bright Light Prophetic Deliverance Ministries founder Prophet Bright Chikomo prayed for one Vimbai Mawoneke who is mentally challenged, homeless, and survives on selling wares on the streets in Karoi. She immediately became sane.

Scores of people in the Karoi community were left bedazzled by the miraculous act.

Testifying about this incident, a man who only identified himself as JB from Chikangwe High-Density area said the incident that happened over the weekend has been the talk of the town.

“We know Mai Nyasha as a mentally-challenged street vagrant though sometimes she sells a few wares for survival.

“She had children but they were taken into custody by the government’s social welfare department because of her condition but what this prophet has done is beyond wonder.

“When he started praying for her, I thought it was one of those gimmicks but what I witnessed afterward is just unbelievable. Mai Nyasha abruptly changed and started conversing with people sanely and up to this day many people in Karoi are bemused,” he said.

This was also confirmed by a female vendor who is close to Mai Nyasha.

“She has been living on the streets for over 6 years now and we knew her mental status. I was taken aback when I came to work and found her chatting with fellow vendors normally.

“I then asked a fellow vendor what had happened and that’s when we heard of Prophet B Chikomo’s deliverance of Mai Nyasha ,” said the bemused female vendor.

This publication caught up with Prophet Chikomo, who was at first  a bit reluctant to open up on the miraculous deed.

“What I found is that I only need to pray for her to be extricated from the spirit of poverty. The spirit of poverty can lead someone to lose his or her mind.

“I am glad I have managed to do that but this is the beginning of everything,” revealed Chikomo.

The Bright Light Prophetic Deliverance Ministries leader also added that plans are now underway to build a home for the ‘delivered’ woman.

“While already the ministry has sourced food and blankets for Mai Nyasha, we are also going to build a shelter for her so that she may take back the custody of her children believed to be over 10,” added Chikomo.
