As NetOne strengthens its position as the leading network of choice, two lucky winners walked away with a generator each in the company’s Mo Gigs Grand Prize held at the Netone Cleveland offices today.
Presenting the prizes to Admire Mungororo (18) from Mabvuku, and Blessed Mutambaneshiri (20) from Budiriro 3, NetOne Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Raphael Mushanawani said under the company, rewarding loyal customers is part of the culture of the institution.
“At Netone, customers win weekly prices of mobile phones and other valuables. I urge NetOne customers, including the two winners, to continue using NetOne as the network of their first choice. We run these promotions to give more data, and more value, and, in turn, get more clients. I congratulate our lucky customers for winning a 5KVA Nexus generator in our monthly giveaway promotion,” Mr. Mushanawani said.
Mr. Isaiah Nyangari, the NetOne Chief Commercial Officer Nyangari said the prizegiving ceremony was apt in that it came during the month of December that is about thanksgiving, particularly among the Christian community that celebrates the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day on 25 December each year.
“As Netone we always uphold thanking where we recognise our suppliers, customers, and marketing team. This year, the festive season was characterised by huge spending and we thank God for it was COVID-19-free. Mr. Learnmore Musunda the GM of OneMoney thanked NetOne customers. He said by simply transacting, there are huge rewards for customers.

One of the winners, Blessed Mutambaneshiri is a carpenter at the Glenview 8 Industrial Complex. He thanked NetOne for coming up with the prize of a generator which he said is relevant to his type of work given the intermittent power cuts.
“It’s like the Lord inspired NetOne to come up with the prize of a generator. The power situation in the country is so bad that just before Christmas, we would spend more than 18 hours without power. That meant no work for us as carpenters. With this generator, I promise to work for more hours to cover up for the lost time during the power cuts,” Mutambaneshiri said.
The other winner, Admire Mungororo, said he will give the generator to his parents as a gift.
“My parents run a bottle store at Kamunhu Shopping Centre. With intermittent power cuts currently obtaining in the country, there were a few customers since the majority of imbibers prefer a cold beer. I am certain that my parents will double if not treble their profits because we now have reliable power 24/7,” Mungororo said.
