Information communication technology concern NetOne has ventured into the automobile business with a climate-smart innovation as it brings onto the fray a green energy-powered vehicle.

This latest innovation was on display at Zimbabwe International Trade Fair which pulled down the curtain late last month.

The green energy vehicle uses electricity as a source of energy which gives it an advantage over hydrocarbon-powered fuels that are harmful to the environment due to carbon dioxide emissions.

The beast brought by NetOne onto the market dovetails with not only the country, but a global thrust to conserve the environment under increasing threat from harmful substances and indiscriminate practices.

Climate-smart practices have become a clarion call among and across the board for the global face to remain under uncompromised protection.

The vehicle has a charger, generators as well as a backup power supply for the convenience of consumers. It is said to run at significant speeds that would put the business minded consumer in cost-saving positions.

Impressed visitors to the prime annual international exhibition expressed interest in the innovation at the vast NetOne stand.

“This is one of the best innovations we have witnessed so far in the country. We can be one of your first customers. What has impressed us more is the size of the vehicle as we need to carry a considerable amount of consignment at a time for our clients,” said a foreign investor as they were taken through operations by an official from NetOne.

Ozone layer depletion and climate change are posing immeasurable threats to the planet with attendant catastrophes visiting mother earth at unprecedented frequencies.

Natural disasters associated with harmful hydrocarbons are jerking stakeholders to arrest the damage. NetOne has added its shoulder to the wheel to make the world a better place for the vast human race, environment, and aquatic life.

At the trade extravaganza, their stand was a cut above the rest as it pooled together eye-catching ICT and innovative products constantly streaming from the giant.

From, iPhones, Ipads, laptops, and gaming products to financial services, the stand was a one-stop shop for visitors.

Prof Mthuli Ncube, the Finance and Economic Development Minister is one of the high-profile individuals who was witnessed visiting the stand. He got a feel of modern products from the mobile communication utility as he went around visiting selected spots.

For its exhilarating outlook at the prime exhibition fiesta, NetOne was nominated for best display in the ICT category.
