Thanks to continuous investment in digital customer journeys, MultiChoice offers full website functionality in all its markets and gives subscribers WhatsApp self-service functionality.
To give customers as many entertainment options as possible, DStv subscribers can add additional movie channels to their existing DStv packages at an affordable price. This allows subscribers to access premium content month-to-month without having to install hardware or go through unnecessary admin.
The DStv app is a one-stop viewing platform already included in DStv customers’ subscriptions. The app ensures subscribers can access their favourite series and movies as part of their subscription package, despite day-to-day challenges such as load-shedding. Subscribers can choose to watch via their connected device or the DStv website, or they could stream live TV channels, making the most of the Catch-Up functionality.
Showmax – A streaming service built for Africa
With Showmax, viewers get endless entertainment in the form of unlimited movies, TV shows, and more, available to watch anywhere, at any time. As a fully mobile streaming service, Showmax was the first mobile-first streaming service in Africa and introduced African viewers to downloading and watching content on mobile devices for offline viewing.
Regarded as the place to go for a unique fusion of local African content, the latest international series, blockbuster movies, gripping documentaries, and the best kids’ entertainment, Showmax is one of only two places in Africa where subscribers can stream HBO and HBO Max content, with DStv being the only other place. Any DStv subscription package can be supercharged by adding Showmax using the MyDStv app. DStv Compact and Compact Plus subscribers get Showmax at a 50% discount. DStv Family and Access, subscribers can add Showmax to their DStv bill and will only be billed once monthly for both services.
Showmax comes with a bandwidth capping feature and allows viewers to download content to their preferred device to enjoy later offline. Viewers can stream content on their smart TVs, smartphones, tablets, computers, media players, and gaming consoles.
