Trelawney – The multimillion-dollar mining industry to be set up in Mapinga will give way to the establishment of a new city alongside Great Dyke in Mapinga and is anticipated to become an employment hub for residents of Zvimba and the rest of Zimbabwe.
This was revealed by Zvimba South Constituency ZANU PF parliamentary aspirant Dexter Taurai Malinganiso during a meeting to drum up support for the party in Trelawney.
Malinganiso said the establishment of the mining industry and new city is testimony to numerous success stories being spearheaded by the new dispensation under the astute leadership of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
“We are blessed as Zvimba South Constituency that we will be home to the biggest mining development and a new smart city which is a result of the leadership of our President Emerson Mnangagwa who is walking the talk in ensuring that no place or person is left behind. This project will offer huge employment benefits to our Constituency,” he said.
Malinganiso said President Mnangagwa and ZANU PF deserve support so that they continue on the country’s development trajectory.
Speaking at the same meeting, ZANU PF Central Committee member and current Zvimba South Constituency Legislator, Dr. Philip Chiyangwa rallied ZANU PF supporters to vote wisely and protect the gains of the liberation struggle by voting ZANU PF candidates on 23 August harmonized general elections.
“We need to bury the country’s detractor puppets once and for all by ensuring that we defend our country through voting for our President, all our members of parliament and councillors so that we shut out the opposition once and for all,” he said.
Dr. Chiyangwa said unity is the strength of the party in development and urged party supporters to rally behind the candidature of the youthful constituency candidate Malinganiso who has demonstrated that he will continue with the party’s legacy on the development trajectory.
“We have our member of parliament whom we are all fully behind so that he continues with the work of ZANU PF in Zvimba South Constituency under the astute democratic leadership of President Mnangagwa,” he urged party supporters.
Another party Central Committee member, Joseph Chirongoma said President Mnangagwa’s mantra of leaving no one behind is paying dividends in inclusion as young people are getting opportunities for leadership posts as evidenced by the choosing of Malinganiso as the constituency parliamentary candidate.
“You are lucky that you have chosen an energetic youthful leader who will definitely continue with the good works of ZANU PF in the Constituency so you need to support him. I am happy with the level of political maturity displayed by people like Dr. Chiyangwa and all other candidates who participated in the primary elections and are supporting the people’s preferred candidate. I urge you to work in harmony and campaign in a peaceful environment shunning violence as we are always advised by our President,” he said.
Forever Associates of Zimbabwe and Mashonaland West ZANU PF Provincial Veterans League member, Jessica Tapfumanei urged young people to desist from the drug abuse menace.
“We are now looking forward to seeing you young people take leading roles in the development of the country. We took our part in the liberation struggle and we are now saying it’s now your turn but we are worried by the current level of drug and substance abuse which is threatening to destroy the gains brought by the liberation struggle. Let us all join the fight against drug and substance abuse which is worrying even our President,” she advised party supporters.
