Le Superstar, Mapanga, Zimbabwe’s local king of rhumba is set to release thrilling four singles that will leave local rhumba lovers in a frenzy.
The rhumba maestro is working flat out in the studio as we speak. Three singles will be released and a mouth-watering collaboration will rope in Lady Storm, Juntal Madizband, and Best of all music from Kinshasa, Congo.
Mapanga (real name: Munyaradzi Jack Majarira) is no stranger, novice nor Mafikizolo in the rhumba music circles. His career dates back to 2001 when he formed the group Best of All Musica. In 2004 he released two albums, MaZimbabwe and Overdose. He then moved to Bv labien Musica in 2006 and went on to release 6 albums.
Among the albums are, Kumba handiende, Dzikama malabel chete, Mwana wako, Kechi one, Ndoosaka Extended and 100% full blast.
“Working with Bv labien Musica has given birth to a number of exciting projects. In the process Koffi Olomide remains my inspiration,” said the charismatic Mapanga.
