The current economic challenges are short-lived and can only be dealt with through hard work.
The Emmerson Mnangagwa administration has created many opportunities in various sectors that young people should take advantage of.
The sentiments were made by Zvimba South Constituency legislator and property mogul, Dr. Philip Chiyangwa.
“We have lots of opportunities in this country that with sheer determination and hard work we can ensure a vibrant economy for Zimbabwe which young people must be on the forefront for economic activities,” he said.
He was speaking to a group of young people from Zvimba South Constituency during a tour of a 200-bedroomed Boulevard Hotel currently under construction in Harare.
The young people visited Hon Chiyangwa to get an appreciation of how he has made a mark as one of the richest Zimbabweans and were taken around Chiyangwa’s properties around Harare.
“I am building one of the best hotels in Borrowdale – Pentagon Hotel, and an events centre. This all came through hard work, determination as well as the conducive environment created by President Emmerson Mnangagwa” he said during the tour.
The construction industry, Hon Chiyangwa said, has created thousands of jobs and young people should know there are no shortcuts to success.
“I was not born rich but I grew up in an environment that made me realise that you need to work and know how to identify opportunities and use them,” he said.
Hon Chiyangwa pledged ZW$2 million per ward for eleven wards in his constituency towards community income-generating projects for each ward.
“I want to see how you fare through these income-generating projects in your areas so that you are financially empowered just like what our visionary leader, President Mnangagwa wants. You need to continue to seek advice from successful people like me,” he said.
Meanwhile, the ZANU PF leadership in Zvimba South Constituency has endorsed Hon Chiyangwa as the sole party candidate for the party’s forthcoming central committee elections and has proposed that he goes through uncontested.
ZANU PF party will hold its elections to choose central committee members with some politburo members already sailing through uncontested.
