Kwesé Sports will be showing the upcoming NBA Africa Game 2018 live in Zimbabwe and across Africa this Saturday (August 4) at 4pm Central Africa Time.
A statement from Kwesé Sports, Econet Media’s sports content division, said the game will be broadcast across its multiple digital platforms, including TV, as well as the on mobile – where fans can view the Game on the popular Kwesé iflix mobile App.
The NBA Africa Game 2018, which will feature Team Africa vs Team World – and will include a constellation of the league’s household names, such as Bismack Biyombo of the Orlando Magic and Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers – will be played at the Sun Arena, Time Square, in Pretoria, South Africa.
Team Africa will be made up of NBA players who were born on the African continent, along with those with direct African family ties, while Team World players will be drawn from the rest of the world, excluding Africa.
According to Kwesé Sports, basketball fans in Zimbabwe and across Africa will have the choice and convenience to watch the game from their multichannel digital broadcasting platforms, including Kwesé Free Sports (KFS), Kwesé Sports 1 (KS1), the Kwesé App, and Kwese Free Sports OVHD. The game will also be available on the Kwesé Play device through the KFS channel.
This will be the third year that the NBA Africa Game has been played on African soil following the inaugural game played in 2015 at Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg, and the second played last year at the Ticketpro Dome in the same city in South Africa.
Organizers say the NBA Africa Game 2018 is also being played in support of the Nelson Mandela Foundation, which this year celebrates the African icon and late South African president’s 100th anniversary.
