The Kadoma Interdenominational Gospel Group has begun the Nation Gospel Musical Tour as they try to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music. The Kadoma-based gospel ensemble is riding high with their album HYMNCHO which is mainly composed of hymns and is going to tour the cities and towns starting with concerts in the City of Kadoma on Saturday 28 May 2022.
The Director and Founder of the group, Mr. Christopher Murunguzha, said the group is going to make its first maiden tour starting in Kadoma where they are going to hold four shows before touring other cities and towns.
“We are going to hit Kadoma first with our hit songs before we take our music to other cities and towns preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music,” said Murunguzha.
Dubbed SET THE WORLD ABLAZE GOSPEL TOUR, the first concert is on this Saturday and they will move to other locations.
Running under the theme ‘One Movement, One Praise, One Worship’, these tours are expected to lift the spirit of gospel lovers and according to the Director, the objective of this tour is to spread the message of Christ through music and they have seen it as an opportunity to bring back the mood of Interdenominational Gospel fellows.
“Our main objective is to spread the word of God. We saw it as an opportunity to reunite with our followers after we had been affected by the Covid 19 pandemic and l assure you that these tours are going to be amazing and are going to change the lives of other people as they are always spiritually filled,” said Murunguzha
The first concert will be in Rimuka at Morning Angels Nursery School. There are going to be supporting guest artists. We have lined up some other activities and we are going to have surprise guests. I can confirm the availability of one of Zimbabwe’s female gospel sensations, Mai Mukarati, and one powerful music guru, Pastor Chitifa. Other famous music gurus are still to confirm but we are going to have more other well-known gospel artists,” said the Director.
Gates are expected to open at 2 pm and it’s a family show. The Director said he is expecting to have a full house as tickets are selling like hotcakes.
The Kadoma Gospel Choir is an interdenominational group that has 18 singers and 6 instrumentalists. They sing gospel songs and they have been in existence for some time. According to Murunguzha, the group is expected to grow. The choir will recruit children wing who are talented before graduating them into the main group. The choir is currently doing well after it released its album last year with expectations to release another one later this year.
