The talented musical group, Kadoma Gospel Choir is set to launch their much-awaited album on the 3rd December 2021 at Odessy Restaurant in Kadoma.
The album that carries seven songs is composed of hymns and choruses. The album is titled HYMNCHO meaning that it carries hymns and choruses and the launch is expected to start at 1700hrs and end at around 1930hrs.
Speaking to the visionary and founder of the group Tatenda Murunguzha, he said that the much-awaited album will be taking place in Kadoma and it carries songs that are spiritually filled and is expecting the songs to touch the lives of those who will listen to them.
“We are going to launch our album which has spiritually filled hymns and choruses and we are expecting the songs to touch the lives of our usual listeners,” said Murunguzha.
The album according to Murunguzha, carries hymnal songs and choruses and is expected to surpass other songs they had recorded so far.
The album is a compilation of old hymns and choruses which were given a new feel and modern touch.
“The album is going to carry old known hymns and choruses but we have given them a new feel and a modern touch so that it appeals to the old and young generation,” said Tatenda Murunguzha.
Kadoma Gospel Choir is an interdenominational worship choir based in Kadoma and has around 30 singers and 10 band members mainly the youths and the group has been in existence for the past 5 years and has recorded a number of songs under their belt. The forthcoming album is going to prove that the group is maturing as each year passes.
Songs on the album are “Watakura kuipa Jesu” Ft Mai Mukarati, “Ishe ndinzwe nekufara”, “Ndamuwana Jesu”, “Dondifemerai”, “Hakuna Zita Sera Jesu”, “Nditungamire Jehovha” Ft Desire Makoni from Zimpraise Choir, and ” Ndorasira paCalvary” Ft Pastor Ishmael Zingapeta.
Speaking during the interview with this publication, Tatenda said the Gospel choir’s aim is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music with a passion and desire to tell all those who would hear about Jesus Christ.
“It is our desire to spread the word about Jesus Christ through music and this is the group’s aim to tell the whole world about Jesus Christ,” said the leader.
The group has hosted a number of mega-concerts and virtual concerts that included “Worship Redefined”, and ” Worship Revolution.” The forthcoming album will be a major boost towards their vision as a group.
They feature one of the best female gospel singers to emerge from Kadoma if not in Zimbabwe. These include Amai Mukarati, Desire Makoni ( Zimpraise), and the talented songwriter and singer Pastor Ishmael Zingapeta.
According to the Founder, the concert is a must-attend show and at the time of going to press, there were few seats left.
“It’s a must-attend launch show and we have few seats left and people should hurry to get the seats,” said Murunguzha.
According to the visionary leader, the album launch is going to involve the first Official Public Listening Session as well as the Auction of the Album.
“On the day, it will involve our first official public listening session and we will be having an auction of the album,” said the leader of the group.
