Renowned entertainment guru Arnold Chingwerewe alias Selekta Base recently donated an assortment of food humpers to 100 elderly women in Harare’s Sunningdale as part of corporate social responsibility.
After the many people’s favourite Blowout Festival held in December last year, Selekta Base Worldwide announced that they would be donating the proceeds to charity as a way of supporting the less privileged in community.
Blowout Festival is a car spinning event accompanied by musical performances among other festivities.
His retinue of followers to the donation included Ice Motors Boss Ice, Jarmaine, Team BMW, Team Subaru, and Sixstar Motorsport, among many other car enthusiasts.
Sunningdale, like many other high-density suburbs in Zimbabwe, other people might go to bed on an empty stomach. Hence, this gesture is really manna from heaven.
In an interview on the sidelines of the donation, Selekta Base said the donation was just a highlight of the more that is coming, as he promised to donate more basic commodities to underprivileged homes in Harare, including food, and clothes.
“This act of benevolence is making a positive impact as we strive to make a change in the lives of people.
Our special thanks to car spinners who made the charity initiative possible by participating in the car spinning event,” he said.
