Rising Hatfield-based gospel choir, Mufudzi Wakanaka launched its third album “Ngoma nehosho” on Dzotnet International’s Facebook page yesterday.
The multi-talented group, which sings praise and worship songs launched its eight-track album meant to preach to those burdened, the sick, and the economically challenged as well.
The group’s representative, Mr. Nhamo Mutsiiwa said the response is overwhelming. The audience liked the creativity and the encouraging messages in these songs.
The gospel choir is ambitious to reach all corners of the world through music.
“Our ambition is to reach the whole world through gospel music either physically or through the use of online platforms. We hope to learn many internationally recognized languages so that we sing through such languages and achieve the mission of making disciples of Christ, ” said, Mutsiiwa
Despite receiving an overwhelming response during the launch of the Mufudzi wakanaka album, he admitted that just like any other beginner, they are facing multiple challenges in their work of spreading the gospel through music.
“We are facing financial challenges to fund most of our programmes of preaching through music. We need finance to upgrade our P.A system and instruments. We need our own vehicle as in most cases we end up not fulfilling activities due to financial challenges. We need uniforms. We need finances for recording audios and videos,” added Nhamo Mutsiiwa.
Meanwhile, the Mufudzi Wakanaka gospel choir is appreciating the audience for the support as they targeting to reach many including Christians for upliftment and nonbelievers for soul winning.
One of the audiences identified as Gift Patsika commented during the album launch and said: “I like the creativity and the rich singing from the group, especially the lead singer followed by a loud sound.”
Another one just identified as Lissa Mudani also commented to appreciate the songs from the album: “Powerful voices. keep up the good work.”
The rising gospel choir is hoping to give hope to those hard-pressed by life-threatening situations, especially during this time of the Covid 19 pandemic
