The rising songbird Feli Nandi will be performing at a popular joint in Harare on Friday.
The music diva who burst on the music scene a few years after having been Mbeu and Mhodzi Tribe’s backing vocalist who has seen her solo career steadily rising will serenade her growing legion of fans at Jason Mphepho Little Theatre.
Speaking to this publication, Feli’s manager Blessing Chiota said the Munhu Wangu hitmaker will sample new songs off her upcoming album on the show.
“This show is one not to miss. That’s why we have dubbed it ‘Friday Night Special With Feli Nandi’. Fans who will grace this event will be able to get a feel of the next album as Feli will sample some new songs there.
“It is one of those few shows that she is a headline act meaning that fans will be treated to a long time of interacting and connecting with Feli,” said Chiota.
Born Felistus Winnie Chipendo, the 29-year-old did a duet with Trevor Dongo ‘Mufudzi WeMombe’ which many music lovers fell instantly in love with.
Last year, she made her debut album called Feli Nandi which carried the song ‘Unotyei’ where she chronicles the loss of her mother who made an impact on her musical career.
Apart from music, the Dzivarasekwa-born crooner is also a fashion designer.
Meanwhile, the show will also be a chance for art enthusiasts to witness the craft of rising comedian ‘BaKevy’ who will be the MC.
The comedian, real name Simbarashe Deremeti Muchabaiwa who started his journey at MSU while studying, is upbeat about the Friday gig.
“I have been following Feli’s music and it’s about love to promote harmony, especially among couples.
“This is also the same message which I have preached while doing work for National Aids Council, Msasa and Padare disseminating information on sexual reproductive health and rights through humour.
“So what it means is we will complement each other for an epic show,” BaKevy alerted.
