Addressing participants during the highly-subscribed event yesterday, Hon Temba Mliswa, the Member of the National Assembly for Norton, said sports and wellness are key ingredients for fitness and wellbeing.
“Comprehensive education only becomes possible if learners embrace sports and wellness. Wellness extends to the food that we eat. As part of wellness, food and nutrition security is essential for the attainment of sustainable development goals (SDGs). In order to have an active and healthy citizenry, there is a need to engage in a variety of sporting activities,” Hon Mliswa said.
Apart from the physical sporting activities, parents and students received comprehensive education about life and good health from various stakeholders who graced the occasion.
