Upcoming Kadoma-born Afro-pop artiste, Croxxy Tee – real name Cleopas Mkuwu – strongly believes music promoters and seasoned local musicians should play pivotal roles in uplifting the careers of budding musicians.
“ln Zimbabwe, it is not easy to make a name and achieve stardom in the music industry. This is mainly because of a myriad of challenges bedevilling the industry at the movement. The Covid-19 pandemic has worsened the plight of aspiring and upcoming musicians. l think music promoters and local celebrated musicians should come to the aid of budding musicians to ensure the development and growth of the music industry in the country,” the 31-year-old said.
A former Kwayedza High student, Croxxy Tee launched his professional music career in 2010. He has recorded and released over 50 tracks to date. His music career has seen him working with TiGonzi and Tanzania’s Face G.
Croxxy Tee says he derives his inspiration from local and international music stars.
“l am inspired by local and international talent. On the international scene, I look up to Chris Martin. Locally, Killer T, Rocky, Freeman, and TiGonzi are my sources of inspiration,” the youthful artiste pointed out.
The ambitious musician had this to say about his plans for the future: “lam working tirelessly to reach to the top; to have my music getting recognition all over the world. One day, l want to have a big clan under my stable, recruiting and uplifting upcoming artistes.”
