Kutama – Zvimba South Legislator and ZANU (PF) Central Committee member Dr. Phillip Chiyangwa has injected ZW$11 million as a revolving fund for the Constituency.

He revealed this during an event dubbed ‘Dr. Philip Chiyangwa Music Competition’ held in Kutama.

“I have received from parliament ZW$11, 4 million for constituency development fund for various community development projects for each ward. I urge you to ensure you utilize this money as soon as possible before it gets eroded by inflation. Personally, I am also giving you ZW$11 million as a revolving fund for each ZANU (PF) district in my constituency with each district making its decision on how to use and manage the money,” he said.

Dr. Chiyangwa said empowering communities to participate in economical activities is on the agenda of President Emerson Mnangagwa’s vision of leaving no one and no place behind.

“More things are on the way for you to be empowered as PresidentMnangagwa wants you to have a comfortable life when you also have opportunities to make cash for yourselves,” he said.

The flamboyant legislator said Zimbabweans should embrace and appreciate what has been achieved by President Emerson Mnangagwa in a short space of time.

“Just look what the President has achieved in a very short space of time. Just look at how many mines are now operational whilst roads are being repaired and he is doing much more and he needs all our support.”

Meanwhile, ZANU (PF) Chitepo district from Ward 23 in Banket walked away US$1 000 richer after coming tops in the music competition and was handed a trophy. The prizes were handed over by Dr. Chiyangwa who was accompanied by his wife.

Darwendale District took home US$750 in second position whilst Mazorodze District in the third position took home US$500 with fourth-placed Ward 19 district walking away with US$350. Other teams received US$100 as appearance fees.
