Zororai home for the elderly in Sakubva, Mutare has received in-kind donation support from Medcom Foundation in England.
William Mtisi, Founder/Director of Medcom Foundation said that the home was supported with items such as sugar, mealie-meal, bags of maize, meat, chunks, cooking oil, soap, mahewu drinks, powdered milk, matemba, salt, including wheat and medications.
Mtisi said that a team from his Foundation based in Zimbabwe visited the elderly home to make the donation and was represented by Moud Nenhanga, Coordinator, including Killian Neshita and Ronica Mukupe who are staff members of the Foundation.
Nenhanga said that there are 14 people living at the home who have benefitted from the donation.
According to Mtisi, the Foundation representatives have also visited Maunganidze Primary School in Chipinge to assess assistance needed at the educational institution.
A donation which included fees, uniforms, and groceries was made for a candidate at the school.
Mtisi said that his Foundation is also planning to support the school with computers including electrical installations for the school’s computer room.
Medcom Foundation is a Non-Governmental humanitarian aid, development, and advocacy organization that partners with governments and local organizations to provide relief and assistance to the world’s poorest families, implements systems to combat ill health, and promotes education amongst the poor.
