Kadoma Gospel lovers were treated to an early Christmas when renowned gospel singers descended in the mining town and gave polished displays much to the delight of the hundreds of fans who thronged Kadoma Jameson High School last Saturday.
Renowned award-winning female gospel singer, Dorcas Moyo, Powerful Worshipper, Ellard Cherayi and his wife Sheron Manyonganise were in Kadoma belting their hit songs. The huge crowd who attended were left asking for more as they belted song after song, much to the delight of the crowd.
Some of the other Kadoma gospel singers included veteran singer, Pastor David Mabvuramiti, Mai Mukatati, Kadoma Gospel Choir, Minister Nyamvura, Minister Machacha, Minister Nhokwara, Minister Chris, the energetic group, and Delighted Voices led by Linda Chisamba. The gospel musicians gave stellar performances and proved that Kadoma has much talented musicians.
Heavily sponsored by one of Kadoma’s leading retail shops, Harare Pfacha, Kadoma City Lodge and Jireh Investments, the large family gospel concert was well attended and the proceeds from the show are meant to help the less privileged and various organisations in Kadoma.
The show was an early Christmas gift as the musicians belted their hit songs.
According to the organisers, the concert was meant to bring people together and closer to Zimbabwe’s well-sought-after Gospel groups and musicians.
“The show was meant to bring families together and close to their favourite gospel singers. That goal was achieved, and above all, the main aim is to help the less privileged as well as other charitable organisations with the proceeds from the show,” said Minister Nhokwara who was the show organiser.
“Given that it was around Christmas time, the concert aimed to raise some goodies for the less privileged. A life well lived means you take time out off your space and your own gratification to find someone you can bless. As we celebrate life this season, we are giving every Zimbabwean an opportunity to be a blessing to another life and we are happy that people attended the show and the proceeds are going to help other less privileged people and organisations,” added Minister Nyamvura.
According to Nyamvura, the show is going to be an annual event and it is going to grow even bigger as this year was a success considering that this was their first show.
