Upcoming hip hop and Afro-fusion musician, Tapiwa Madzova – aka Sosa Tha DON – is making waves on YouTube and SoundCloud with his latest offering, Champion. The track was officially released on the two platforms on the 20th of February this year. Public demand led to the production of a video for the song which was officially launched on social media platforms on the 20th of June.
Featuring Russel Tawanda and Tee Ays, Champion embraces hip hop and Afro-fusion. It also has a trace of the gospel as Sosa Tha DON glorifies God for uplifting him in his music career. The song was mixed and mastered by Russel Tawanda at two studios in the capital: N base7zero and Monster Music.
A Statistics and Financial Mathematics graduate from Bindura University of Science Education, Sosa Tha DON (26) embarked on his professional music career when he released his debut 8-track album titled New Chapter, in 2017.
Summarizing his passion for a career in music, the young artiste had this to say: “My mom is my inspiration. I discovered my music talent in 2001 but started developing it (the talent) in 2013 and since then l have not looked back.”
To date, Sosa Tha DON has produced over 20 tracks.
