Banket – Zvimba South Constituency Member of Parliament and ZANU PF Central Committee member, Dr. Phillip Chiyangwa, has said for one to reach financial greatness financial discipline is a necessary virtue.
Addressing ZANU PF women’s and youth league members from two Banket party districts during a presentation of one million Zimbabwe dollars for income projects he said for anyone to make it in the financial world, one has to be financially disciplined.
“People think one can just wake up and be rich without working for it. That is impossible. For one to make it in life, you need to work hard and be disciplined on money issues,” he said.
“I grew up selling vegetables in Chegutu and that’s where I learned to be financially disciplined. It’s so easy to make it in the financial world. The money I have offered is for you and it is up to you to grow financially depending on how you use the money and it will reveal if you deserve more financial injections,” he said.
Dr. Chiyangwa said he started business investment whilst following and learning from other people and eventually financially surpassing them.
Tariro Chiweshe, one of the recipients of the income-generating projects, said they are grateful for the financial support they received to start their small businesses.
“We are so thankful for the financial boost we received. It will go a long way in helping us to support our families through self-help projects,” she said.
