BancABC Managing Director and CEO Dr. Lance Mambondiani and UK- based DJ Mel walked away all smiles at the 11th edition of the eminent Zimbabwe Achievers Awards (ZAA) which were held in Birmingham, the United Kingdom on Saturday night.
The ZAA UK 11th Awards Dinner Gala was hosted by Amanda Nkomo and Daks at a packed Holiday Inn City.
Winners at the awards, which were sponsored by remittance company Express Links Money Transfer, include Mgcini Moyo who garnered the Zimbabwe-based Influencer of the Year award. Tariro Magombo who was awarded Female Entrepreneur of the Year and Sisa Senkosi bagged the Cultural Ambassador award.
Speaking at the Awards Dinner Gala, ZAA Country Director Sakhile Khanye extolled the winners and nominees for raising the Zimbabwean flag high in different parts of the world.
She also lauded the sponsors and partners for making the event a success.
“I am absolutely grateful for all the amazing people who have supported ZAA over the years and those who turned out in their numbers today. I congratulate all our winners and celebrate their success as a testament to game-changing moves in the world.
We also applaud our sponsors and partners for making this possible as we continue to celebrate high achievement among us,” Khanye said.
Among the notable honorary awards, Dr. Lance Mambondiani was honored with the prestigious Founder’s Award for his outstanding work as professional and unwavering support of the vision of ZAA in recognizing outstanding achievement. Korrine Sky was also honored with the Panel’s Choice Award.
DJ Mel and Nceku both won two awards each with DJ Mel bagging the DJ of the Year and Influencer of the Year award, while Nceku won Male Personality and People’s Choice awards.
Comedian King Kandoro was among the entertainers and Icey Stanley, DJ Fistoz, and DJ Mel provided high-end music at the event.
Zimbabwe Achievers Awards are a unique brand that recognizes, celebrates, and honors the incredible feats and innovations of Zimbabweans around the world, culminating in annual awards ceremonies in all 7 editions around the world.
