The Green Light International Trust is set to help less privileged members of the community once again when they host another event dubbed ‘BRING A SMILE’ to be held on 30 April 2022 at Harare Gardens.
The Trust will also be celebrating its tenth anniversary and this year’s event is going to be unique and exciting.
The Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Trust, Mr. Tawanda Makwiramiti said this year’s show will be a unique one as they will be celebrating their tenth anniversary of the Bring a Smile event.
” This year, the event will be exciting as we are going to be celebrating our tenth anniversary of the event, so it is just an event not to be missed,” said Mr. Makwiramiti said.
Since the beginning of the ‘Bring a Smile’, the trust has brought relief and smiles to privileged groups, persons with disabilities, child-headed families, widows, and the homeless. According to Mr. Makwiramiti, GLIT is the voice of the voiceless.
“The main purpose is to change lives and literary bring a smile to all people deemed to be below average and we are the voice of the voiceless,” said Makwiramiti.
In the past, the trust has taken the “Bring a Smile’ initiative to Mabvuku, Chivhu, and Norton. On the day of the upcoming event, there are activities lined up including a talent show, singing, dancing, testimonies from clients, and handover ceremonies.
The Greenlight International Trust is appealing to members of the society and members of the corporate world to come in handy and donate in cash or kind.
“We are appealing to the society and the corporate world to come and support us by donating in cash or kind so that our event will be successful,” said the CEO.
The programme will involve the donations of wheelchairs, walking aids, clothes, and food hampers.
