Talented singer/songwriter and performer Jonah Chivasa makes a welcome return to the mainstream music scene with a new single simply titled Fevha (pronounced as Favour).
Both the audio and the accompanying video which dropped on September 28, 2021, have so far been well received from fans as seen by the streams on YouTube now at over 40K.
Interestingly, the versatile Jonah emerged from his shell on the latest project which he experimented with Afro-beats and the result has been a resounding success.
“The one thing I want to be remembered for is how versatile I am as a musician. Before I became a musician I was a songwriter and that is my strength and till now I write at least songs per day,” he explained his versatility and songwriting skills.
“I can wake up tomorrow singing to a different tune and sound. That is just me. I am versatile and I do not to keep doing the same thing over and over.”
On Fevha builds on the success of his previous hit — Ndozvinoita Nyasha — which got anthemic status on the airwaves although on the latest Jonah is talking about Favour and not Grace.
“Grace is for everyone but favour is only for the chosen few. And when I look at what is happening in personal life I see favour,” he explained.
The new song drops exactly a week after Jonah paid the bride price for his beau Rachel J.
“So the song reflects on my personal life and this can happen to other people,” he said.
To show his gratitude, Jonah features his beau Rachel J in the video and it is a beauty.
“At first my wife didn’t want to feature in the video but I convinced her that it was best she co-directs as well as feature in it because she is not only scripted the video but also designed the outfits.
“Remember the Bible says he who finds a wife obtain favour from the Lord and the greatest impartation of favour is my wife. I really trusted her with this project and it came out perfect,” Jonah said.
The couple is seen loved up in the video which is nothing short of magic.
According to Jonah, fans should watch out for upcoming international collaboration with one of South Arica’s biggest artists.
Already there are plans to widen the horizons of his career beyond Africa when he drops his upcoming track.
