As the Zimbabwe National Road Administration steps up efforts to bring convenience to the motoring public, company spokesperson, Tendai Mugabe announced that motorists using the ZINARA Prepaid Tolling Card can now load their Icecash accounts in real-time using Zipit with several banks. Efforts are being made to ensure that the remaining few banks are also taken on board.
The banks that are now using this functionality include the following:
- Banc ABC
- African Century
- First Capital
- Netone
- Agribank
- CABS
- Empower Bank
- FBC
- CBZ
- Nedbank
- NMB
- POSB
- Stanbic
- Steward Bank
- Success Bank
- Women’s Bank
- Ecobank
ZINARA also happily announced to members of the public that they can now check their Prepaid Tolling Card balances on WhatsApp using the below process flow.
All the initiatives that ZINARA is coming up with are customer-centric as the company strives to bring convenience to its customers.
How to check ZINARA Prepaid balances using WhatsApp
Step 1
- Send message: ZINARA
- A message will be send asking for the motorist to enter the last 8 digits on their ZINARA Prepaid Card.
Step 2
- Enter the last 8 digits on ZINARA Prepaid Card or the 8 digits on the barcode
- Balance will be automatically sent
Advantages of the ZINARA Prepaid Tolling Card:
- The card allows motorists to pre-pay toll fees which means they spend less time at the tollgate.
- The card be used while the system is offline which means it cannot be affected by network challenges.
- It gives you access to financial reports and provide vehicle tracking information and how much was paid at each tollgate
- The card can be linked to more than one vehicle
