The Kadoma-based upcoming musician, Isheanesu” Minister” Pewula is set to release a video off his latest single gospel song titled ” Shoko RaMwari” released last month.
His single offering was recorded at Zing Legacy Studio in Kadoma. The singer is shooting his video in Kadoma with the assistance of Natty Solomon who took notice of the talented hoarse-voice singer.
During an interview with the singer in Kadoma, he said he is expecting the video to be received by his followers who have since accepted his single offering that is inspired by God through Bible Scriptures.
“I have faith that the video is going to be received positively by my followers after the single song was well-received,” said Pewula.
The Ingezi born singer grew up in a poverty-stricken family. He was raised by his single mother and they could hardly get decent meals and money for his education.
“I was raised by my mother after my father passed away and we could hardly get proper meals. My mother even struggled to pay school fees for me,” said the singer who had to drop out of school at Grade Six in primary school.
He burst onto the music scene in 2012 with a Zimdancehall song before he turned himself to God. His first song was recorded at VNG Studio in Kadoma and he never turned back until to date. The “Minister”, as he is affectionately known by his fans released another single Tariro (2017) followed by Pindirai (2018) before he dropped his latest offering which he is working on in the video.
Pawula – a devoted Christian and an evangelist, is awaiting to enroll for Theology lessons for his pastoral work and has many songs that can compile up to three albums awaiting to be released.
“I have so many unrecorded songs that can count to about three albums but due to financial constraints I can not record them,” said Pewula. He is appealing to those who can help him realise his dreams by helping him record his songs.
“I am appealing to individuals or the corporate world to help me record my songs which I know are life-changing songs and most of them are my personal experiences,” said the singer.
The last born in a family of 3 boys and a girl, the Minister views the music industry in Zimbabwe as hard to penetrate due to fierce competition from established musicians who might be at the peak of their careers. He encouraged those who might want to venture into the music industry to take it easy and to pray more.
“It is not easy to venture into the industry where renowned musicians will be dominating, but I encourage my fellow musicians who might want to enter the industry to be patient and above all to pray harder for spiritual guidance,” said Pewula who was inspired by Fungisai Zvakavapano.
His wish is to meet his favourite gospel musicians who are Pastor (Baba) Charles and Olivia (Amai) Charamba whom he regards as the best gospel singers. His prayer is that one day he collaborate with his favourite secular music artist Jah Prayzah. Apart from being an evangelist, Pewula, who is still single is an entrepreneur and is passionate about delivering the Good News of the Gospel of Christ. He also serves as a Deacon at his church – Ambassadors of Christ.
