Top musician, Jah Prayzah will be releasing a potentially smashing album in the near future. The artist has been busy in the studio despite his busy schedule.
On 16 June, on the Day of the African Child, he launched a jingle on behalf of UNICEF Zimbabwe to help promote the Learning Passport. The jingle has been creating a buzz on social media.
Originally designed to provide education for displaced and refugee children through a digital remote learning platform, the Learning Passport – a collaboration between UNICEF and Microsoft is expanding to more countries and offers country-level curriculum for children and youth.
Its launch in Zimbabwe came at a crucial time when over 4.6 million learners in Zimbabwe have been out of school for extended periods due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (MOPSE) together with UNICEF embraced the opportunity to accelerate digital-assisted learning.
Through active collaboration and regular engagement, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Microsoft, and UNICEF built the Learning Passport Zimbabwe.
The Education Technology platform was officially launched in March 2021 with a goal of reaching 300,000 learners by end of 2021.
